Volvo Aero are using
dseConsulting to provide
agent-based modelling expertise. Working with
the Business Development team, the objective is to create models
highlighting how the future may evolve for the aerospace manufacturing
industry and what this may mean for Volvo Aero.
The requirement for The Tile Warehouse focuses on the provision of operations management skills. dseConsulting work to support the existing management team with a range of requirements varying from database implementation, to sales forecasting and process redesign.
The business environment had significantly changed for Meads, with new customers needing a different approach and different business models than that previously adopted. dseConsulting kicked off the project by analysing the current business management data, and manipulating this to create a useable forecast. With this in place the project continued to develop a model that could be used to evaluate capacity and make recommendations for alternative approaches to operations management. After the initial project, we have continued to work with Meads and currently provide mentoring services to monitor and maintain progress. |
