DES is Dead, Long Live ABMS

David Buxton of dseConsulting joined a panel of international experts earlier this year to consider four key questions under the banner DES is Dead, Long Live ABMS.

At the plenary session of the UK Operational Research Society's Simulation Workshop 2010, each question

was presented first to one member of the expert panel, with subsequent contributions from the other panelists before the question was opened up to the audience.

David Buxton addressed the barriers to wider acceptance of Agent Based Modelling and Simulation in OR.
